Men's and Women's Track & Field Set to Open 2018 Season On Saturday

2017 Recap: The 2017 indoor track and field season saw the Polar Bear men's and women's teams both capture top-ten finishes at the New England Division III Championship. The men placed fifth while the women earned a ninth-place finish overall. The men's team also took second overall at the Maine State Meet as the women placed third. Individually, Brian Greenberg earned All-American recognition with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump at the NCAA Championship.

2018 Preview: The Polar Bears return a boatload of talent, including Greenberg, who will look to repeat as All-American jumper for the men. Junior Joseph Staudt won the New England Championship in the 60-meter hurdles last season while sophomore Yaw Sekere took second in the 60-meter dash. Senior thrower John Pietro was third in New England D-III in the shot put.

The women return sophomore Anne McKee, who claimed the Maine State Championship in the 5000 meters, as well as sophomore Morgen Gallagher (sprints), senior Sara Ory (middle distance) and junior Sarah Kinney (distance), all who took runner-up showings at the state meet last season.
