PRESQUE ISLE, Maine - Bowdoin College junior Jack Simonds scored his 1,000th career point as the Polar Bear men's basketball team cruised to a 81-62 non-conference win at Maine-Presque Isle on Tuesday afternoon.

The Polar Bears improve to 10-3 on the year with the victory. Simonds becomes the 25th player in Bowdoin men's basketball history to reach 1,000 points but just the 13th to do it in three or fewer seasons. His 17.0 career points/game average currently stands seventh in program history.
