Men's Hockey to Wear Throwback Unis In Honor of Alumni Weekend

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's ice hockey team will don 'throwback' uniforms in honor of Alumni Weekend at Sidney J. Watson Arena this Friday and Saturday, January 28-29. The Polar Bears (11-3-0), ranked fifth in the latest Division III poll, will host ninth-ranked Williams at 7:00 p.m. Friday and defending NESCAC champion Middlebury on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Replicating the uniforms originally worn by Sid Watson's 1960-61 squad, the 50th anniversary throwbacks were worn throughout the sixties by some of Coach Watson's earliest teams that put Bowdoin hockey on the map, including by Bowdoin Hall of Honor members Ken Martin and Bobby Kullen.

Live coverage will be available for both games via video webcast and live statistics. All regular-season games at Watson Arena are free of charge and no tickets are required. The doors will open one hour prior to game time each day.
