BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's rugby team cruised to a season-opening 76-0 victory over Roger Williams on Saturday at Pickard Field.

  • Bowdoin jumped to a 40-0 first half lead, including a 21-0 lead in the first ten minutes, to put the match out of reach early.
  • Scrumhalf Sara Nelson keyed the Polar Bear attack on the day, several of which led to the hands of Sophia Karris, who tallied three tries on the day.
  • Molly Petronzio had five first-half conversion kicks for Bowdoin.
